The Greenbrier is committed to advancing sustainability priorities, including reducing its environmental footprint and adhering to ecological regulations. Initiatives include maintaining an Environmental Management System, hosting reforestation projects, introducing Smart LED lighting, reusing/reclaiming/recycling materials (e.g., 88,500 tons of material in railcar maintenance and modification, 25,000 tons through Sustainable Conversions™), and setting a goal to reduce Scope 2 GHG emissions by 20% over five years.
