The Allison Inn & Spa was awarded LEED Gold Certification in 2009 and its vineyards are LIVE Certified Sustainable. Key green features include solar hot water, photovoltaic cells (generating 7% electricity), sedum 'Green Eco-Roofing', and no use of plastic bottles. The resort emphasizes waste and recycling management, eco-friendly cleaning and laundry practices, and locally sourced culinary programs. Its development did not encroach on agricultural lands, and mature trees and gardens were imported, resulting in a net agricultural gain.
