SAii Lagoon Maldives is committed to creating a sustainable island experience. Initiatives include an Organic Garden, glass bottles in rooms, paper straws, and a turtle rehabilitation centre. The resort has implemented a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system for irrigation, comprehensive waste management to reduce plastic, and uses native plants for landscaping. Energy-efficient measures include LED lighting and inverter ACs. They provide sustainability training for staff and encourage guest participation in conservation through the Marine Discovery Centre and Maldives Discovery Centre. The resort purchases FSC certified printing paper and uses USDA organic certified, natural ingredient amenities in ceramic containers with biodegradable packaging.
