Sustainability
The NECC earned three-star green building certification in 2020. It implements sustainable practices resulting in a reduction of 46,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. During the China International Import Expo (CIIE), no carbon emissions are produced, with booths made from sustainable materials, electricity from wind and solar, and electric coaches for transport. The integrated energy utilization efficiency of the district's system exceeds 80%.
