About this Venue
The Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICC) is a premier venue in Lusaka, Zambia, commissioned by the Zambian government in 1970. It was constructed by Yugoslav engineers in just 107 days to host the third Summit Conference of Non-Aligned Nations. Since then, it has served as a central hub for international diplomacy, business, and cultural activities, hosting numerous international diplomatic conferences and events. The centre has undergone significant upgrades and expansions, including the addition of a new East Wing in 2001 and the Kenneth Kaunda Wing in 2022, enhancing its state-of-the-art facilities and versatile spaces for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and social events.

Subvention & Funding Support
Mulungushi International Conference Centre is proudly owned by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) of Zambia, a state-owned enterprise, with a minor share held by the Ministry of Finance. This ownership structure reflects the Zambian government's commitment to maintaining and enhancing the centre. Additionally, the Chinese Government provided a $30 million grant for the construction of the new convention center.
