About this Venue
M+ is Asia's global museum of contemporary visual culture, located in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. M+ has embedded sustainability into its organisational ethos and operations, aiming to be a 'low carbon and low energy' landmark. It follows the BEAM Plus environmental assessment scheme and adopted an Integrated Sustainable Building Design (ISBD) approach, achieving a notable 19% reduction in energy usage. Sustainable features include LED lighting, district cooling, underfloor air delivery, solar thermal/PV, heat recovery chillers, demand control ventilation, north-facing skylights for daylight, and a water-storing roof garden. M+ is also a member of the Gallery Climate Coalition.
