Sustainability
Lisbon Congress Centre is committed to quality and sustainability, with an Integrated Management System implemented since 2003. They hold ISO 9001 certification and are implementing an Environmental Management System and Occupational Safety and Health Management System. Sustainability efforts include recycling paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, electrical wiring/metal, batteries, lamps, and ink cartridges. Obsolete equipment is disposed of properly, and spare event materials are recycled or reused. They have a rationalization program for electricity and water, including replacing old hydro-sanitary equipment and halogen lamps with more efficient alternatives like LED lamps. They actively promote green events/meetings. [3, 25, 27]
