About this Venue
The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC) is a prominent multifunctional convention and exhibition venue located in the Qianzhen District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Opened in 2014 as the nation's first waterfront exhibition facility, it spans a gross floor area of approximately 60,000 square meters, encompassing over 25,000 square meters of combined indoor and outdoor exhibition space. It is capable of accommodating up to 4,000 attendees simultaneously. Designed by COX Architecture, the center features an iconic wave-like roof structure inspired by Kaohsiung's maritime heritage, integrating sustainable features such as natural ventilation, skylights, and solar collectors. In 2021, KEC transformed into a 5G smart venue, leveraging 5G AIoT technologies to support hybrid events and innovative applications. It offers a variety of flexible facilities, including two main exhibition halls and numerous conference rooms, suitable for international conventions, trade shows, meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, banquets, and outdoor events.

Subvention & Funding Support
The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center was initiated and built by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) with an initial investment of NT$3 billion as part of the i-Taiwan 12 major infrastructure projects. This government-led funding reflects a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The MOEA, through the Bureau of Foreign Trade and MEET Taiwan's Green MICE Industry Pilot Project, continues to support the venue, including post-opening upgrades with an additional NT$250 million investment by the operating company.
