Four Seasons Hotel Baku is committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive impact on its local community. Initiatives include: participation in the Sustainability Committee of the Azerbaijan Hotel Association, offering educational tours of local sites, providing local, sustainable, and seasonal menu items, responsibly sourced seafood, and using rosemary and thyme from an on-site garden. Environmental programs also focus on energy, carbon, and water reduction through an energy-building management system, water conservation measures, regular audits, and tracking carbon footprint. Waste reduction efforts include the elimination of single-use plastics, use of eco-friendly laundry bags, a recycling program (including on-site glass crushing and diverting cooking oil/batteries from landfill), food waste diversion to animal shelters, and plans for an Ecobot machine for organic compost.
