About this congress
The 82nd Biennial International Law Conference aims to study, clarify, and develop international law, both public and private, and further international understanding and respect for international law. It provides a forum for discussing and developing topics addressed in over 20 committees and study groups, covering areas such as alternative dispute settlement, global health law, monetary, tax and securities law, artificial intelligence and technology, migration issues, and sexual and reproductive violence in conflict and post-conflict scenarios. The conference also offers opportunities to share experiences, understand current issues, and connect with colleagues globally. The overarching theme for the 2026 conference is 'Contours of International Law: Encounters and Evolutions'.
