Summit building achieved LEED Platinum certification, one of very few convention centers in North America with this designation. The facility features rooftop solar panels that improve energy performance by 30%, reclaimed wood furnishings, radiant flooring for heating, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable building materials. SCC has achieved a 78% waste diversion rate, ranking in top 5% of businesses nationwide through water conservation, food waste management, recycling, and energy management. Uses 100% compostable utensils, plates, cups, and coffee stir sticks.
