About this Venue
P&J Live, also known as The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA), is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose indoor arena and event complex in Aberdeen, Scotland. Opened in August 2019, it replaced the former Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). The venue offers a capacity for various shows and events, from 5,000 to 15,000 attendees, and is the largest indoor arena in Scotland. It features world-class conference and exhibition facilities, including seven conference spaces, three 2,000 sqm exhibition halls, and eleven meeting rooms. The development also includes two on-site hotels. P&J Live is committed to sustainability, powered by local renewable energy, and aims for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Sustainability
P&J Live is recognized as one of the most sustainable venues of its type in the UK. It is powered by a multi-technology, low-carbon energy centre, including an anaerobic digestion plant that generates gas from local food and crop waste. The venue has signed the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, committing to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. It holds a Greener Arena Certification and a BREEAM Excellent rating. Sustainability initiatives include a reusable plastic strategy (85% of F&B plastic recycled from June 2024), participation in the 'Guardians of Grub' initiative to reduce food waste, responsible recycling with separate waste segregation, and a focus on local suppliers to reduce food miles. Staff are engaged through carbon literacy training and sustainability pledges. The venue also aims for zero waste to landfill.
