About this Venue
The Lyon Convention Centre is an events complex located in the heart of the Cité Internationale, designed by Renzo Piano, situated between the Tête d'Or park and the River Rhône. It offers state-of-the-art facilities and modular spaces designed to host a wide range of events including conventions, seminars, congresses, trade fairs, gala dinners, and concerts. The Lyon Convention Centre has been ISO 20121 certified since 2019, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable event management. This certification reflects its efforts to protect resources, limit waste, raise awareness among teams and partners, and reduce its carbon footprint. The venue is part of the eco-designed Cité Internationale, which features a centralized watering system for rainwater recovery for its 2,000 sqm of gardens, heating and cooling through underground seepage water, and 96 sqm of solar panels generating 15,000 kWh of electricity, resulting in an environmental gain of 1.4T of CO2 per year. Lyon also participates in the Global Destination Sustainability Index, ranking as the highest-rated French city.
