Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is committed to preserving and regenerating the environment. Initiatives include energy-efficient guest room controls and building systems, high-efficiency solar water heaters for all water heating, water conservation measures (water-efficient landscaping, greywater treatment and reuse), periodic beach clean-ups, sustainable gardening methods, elimination of single-use plastics, recycling and organic waste diversion programs, upcycling damaged linens and towels, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and EVs for transfers, and vegan/vegetarian menu options. They also have a food waste reduction program using Winnow technology and donate excess edible food to local charity Boroume. The hotel launched a tree-planting initiative with We4All, funded by a signature spa treatment.
