About this Venue
The Business Design Centre (BDC) in Islington, London, is a Grade II listed building that blends Victorian charm with modern facilities. Originally opened in 1862 as the Royal Agricultural Hall, it was converted to its present use in 1986. It serves as a multi-purpose trade centre, hosting over 80 exhibitions and 250 conferences annually, attracting over half a million visitors. The venue offers flexible event spaces, in-house catering, audio-visual services, and is known for its commitment to sustainability, being the UK's first CarbonNeutral® venue.

The Business Design Centre is the UK's first CarbonNeutral® venue, certified since 2010, and aims to achieve Net-Zero before 2030. It operates a 0% to landfill policy, uses 100% renewable electricity, and has implemented plastic-free catering with refillable water stations. Other initiatives include secure cycle storage, electric vehicle charging points, and energy reduction measures like motion sensors, low energy lighting, and retrofitting kitchens with induction appliances.
