Sustainability
Brussels Expo has implemented a comprehensive sustainability program. This includes the installation of 11,497 solar panels with a total capacity of 4713.77 kWp, making it the largest solar park in the Brussels region. Other initiatives include rainwater management studies, 100 charging stations for electric vehicles, participation in the PLAGE (Plan for Local Action for Energy Use) program, and an internal working group on energy. The venue incorporates sustainable building techniques, systematic replacement of regular lights by LED lights, and encourages digital signage to reduce waste. Sustainable catering practices involve reusable crockery and promoting water bottle refill stations. Waste management includes selective collection, transport, disposal, recycling, monitoring, and regulating, with waste separated into various categories. The NEO project, which transforms the Heysel Plateau, is designed to be eco-friendly.

Subvention & Funding Support
The City of Brussels, as the owner of the exhibition palaces, has provided financial support to Brussels Expo. In 2022, an extraordinary budget of 5 million euros was granted due to financial difficulties, bringing the total aid from the City to around 14 million euros. The City also provides a subsidy to cover maintenance costs. Brussels Expo, a non-profit organization, is planning a major renovation of Palais 5 into a convention center, with an estimated budget of 330 million euros, partially funded by self-financing and funds from the defunct Neo 2 project, aiming to avoid requesting additional regional funds.
