Sustainability
Bharat Mandapam achieves a 43.5% reduction in energy consumption through efficient air-conditioning systems, BEE-star-rated equipment, and LED lighting. 400 KWp of solar PV panels contribute to a 25% reduction in reliance on grid power for lighting and HVAC systems. Water conservation includes a 70% reduction in annual water consumption through low-flow fixtures, with over 60% of total water demand met by a 1.1 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). 100% of organic waste is treated using an Organic Waste Converter (OWC). The project also enhances biodiversity by preserving over 800 mature trees and planting 5,000 native species. Climate resilience is ensured through design. Incorporates Vastu principles for harmony and positive energy flow, and considers wind and sunlight for natural ventilation and lighting.

Bharat Mandapam was constructed as a national endeavour with an investment of about ₹2,700 crores. It is owned by the Government of India and managed by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), an arm of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The venue aims to promote trade, industry, and employment, and position India as a premier global business destination. It is available for conferences, trade promotion events, seminars, and symposiums.
