Awasi Atacama is part of the Awasi Hotel group, which is officially carbon neutral. They protect and conserve over 340 hectares (840 acres) of virgin forest and native woodland in Iguazú and Patagonia to offset emissions. The lodge uses exclusively Fairtrade ingredients and those acquired from local Andean farming communes (ayllus), and recycles conscientiously.
