About this Venue
Antwerp Expo is a premier European venue for exhibitions, conferences, and events, located on the outskirts of Antwerp, Belgium. It offers state-of-the-art facilities and accommodates events of various sizes, from small private meetings to large-scale trade fairs and expos. Antwerp Expo has an ambitious sustainability policy, aiming to limit environmental impact and reduce waste. As part of the Easyfairs Group, it is a member of the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge, committing to net zero by 2050 and halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Initiatives include a strict waste management and reduction plan with sorting bins and waste kits for exhibitors, use of renewable energy (4000 m² of solar panels installed in 2023 covering 40% of energy consumption), LED lighting in halls and offices (reducing consumption by 80% since 2024), energy conservation measures (e.g., temperature limits during setup/dismantling), and a new HVAC system. They promote climate-neutral mobility with 6 electric charging points in visitor parking and 3 for staff, encouraging public transport and cycling. Sustainability criteria are applied when selecting suppliers and for food sourcing (local, sustainably farmed, vegetarian/vegan options). They also focus on reducing plastic and paper waste through digital signage and reusable materials.
