The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is an international non-governmental organization and the official global representative for the occupational therapy profession. They focus on advancing global health and well-being through the strategic development, application, and refinement of occupational therapy, setting international standards for education, research, and practice. WFOT organizes major international congresses every four years, such as the 19th WFOT Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2026, which brings together occupational therapists worldwide for professional fellowship, scientific exchange, and to promote high standards of practice. Their geographic reach is global, encompassing 117 national associations.
