About this Venue
Plaza Mayor Medellín Conventions and Exhibitions is the international convention and exhibition center of Medellín and is one of the most modern in Colombia, having opened in 2006. It is a versatile and modern event center that hosts major events, fairs, conferences, and exhibitions, known as a platform of interaction and business as a strategy of internationalization.

The Green Pavilion was built using sustainable techniques, incorporating environmental-friendly services such as water re-use, natural lighting, and ventilation. The venue also holds an EPM green energy Certification, an Orange Seal for sustainable initiatives, a Carbon Footprint seal, and a Plastic Footprint for good resources management.

Plaza Mayor Medellín S.A. was formed from a merger with financial and physical resources provided by the Municipality of Medellín, the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, the Chamber of Commerce of Medellín for Antioquia, and the IDEA. As an entity of mixed economy, it can sign inter-administrative agreements with different public entities directly, indicating government support for events.
