Sustainability
One&Only Reethi Rah is deeply committed to sustainability, holding EarthCheck Platinum Certification. Initiatives include saving energy and water, reducing and recycling waste (plastic, paper, glass), embracing plant-based cuisine, and using zero-emission vehicles. The resort produces drinking water through reverse osmosis, recycles greywater for irrigation, and converts waste into biogas and fertiliser. Marine conservation is a priority, with support for sea turtle rehabilitation (Olive Ridley Project) and coral propagation. The resort also partners with Parley for the Oceans to transform plastic waste into sports apparel and aims to remove all plastic from the island. They prioritize local sourcing and community partnerships.
