Sustainability
MEO Arena demonstrates a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility. The building's design incorporates energy-saving concepts, such as an acclimatization system located in the seating area and a significant portion of the building placed below ground level to diminish heating impact. It benefits from sunny hours in winter and shade in summer. Notably, water from the Tagus river is directly used for the air cooling system. MEO, the main sponsor, is the first operator worldwide to offer 100% green telecommunication and electricity services.
