Sustainability
Paris La Défense Arena is committed to an ambitious CSR initiative called 'Memorable together'. Key objectives include an 80% recycling rate by 2025 and a 40% energy reduction. The venue has an on-site waste sorting center since May 2022 and has eliminated plastic water bottles in competition areas. It utilizes rainwater harvesting with an 800m³ storage tank for lawn irrigation and solar panels on the roof to power the adjoining brewery. The design incorporates high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation for efficient temperature control. For the 2024 Olympics, modular pools were used, designed for disassembly and reuse, cutting carbon emissions by half.
