About this Venue
EXCO is a leading exhibition and convention center in Daegu Metropolitan City, opened with the aim of promoting the local economy as well as the business, culture, and art sectors of Korea on an international scale. EXCO hosts over 1,000 events annually, ranging from international exhibitions and meetings to local business promotions. It is a multi-purpose space used for exhibitions, art shows, performances, and business, priding itself on having world-class exhibition and convention facilities.

Sustainability
EXCO runs its facility with solar power, geothermal heat, and natural light for lighting. The solar power plant installation method, which shapes solar modules in letters (1st EXCO, 2nd DAEGU), is a unique installation in Korea. The annual power generation is 230,000kWh, which is about 3% of the total electricity use of the EXCO building, and is used for lighting the underground EXCO Mall. EXCO is also planning to widen its power production. Additionally, all Daegu City Buses utilize CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) to minimize pollution, contributing to an eco-friendly environment around the venue.

Subvention & Funding Support
Daegu City actively supports the MICE industry. In August 2024, Daegu launched a dedicated organization for international conferences, the MICE Bureau Office, to become a global convention city. EXCO has strengthened its international conference bidding and marketing efforts in line with this initiative. Daegu has been recognized as a top 10 international conference city in Asia.
