Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury resort and casino located in Everett, Massachusetts, on the Mystic River, approximately five miles from downtown Boston. It features 671 hotel rooms, a casino, spa, retail outlets, and extensive meeting and convention spaces. The resort was developed on a remediated 33-acre industrial site, incorporating significant environmental restoration efforts, including a public Harborwalk and living shoreline.

Encore Boston Harbor undertook a significant environmental remediation of its 33-acre site, removing 840,000 tons of contaminated soil and 41,000 tons of contaminated sediment. The resort features a 24,000 square-foot restored living shoreline and incorporates sustainable design elements such as 100% irrigation from rainwater collection, 31% indoor water savings, and a design that is 51% more energy efficient than the LEED baseline. It also sources 30% of its annual electricity from renewable energy and utilizes a microgrid and battery storage system.

Subvention & Funding Support
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission awarded Wynn MA, LLC (Encore Boston Harbor) a resort-casino license, requiring an $85 million licensing fee and a capital investment of at least $500 million. The Commonwealth receives 25% of gross gaming revenues. The resort also pays approximately $200 million annually in tax revenues and fees.
