Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC is Muscat's first Gold LEED-Certified Hotel, demonstrating a deep commitment to sustainability and supporting Oman Vision 2040. Initiatives include 65 solar panels for water heating, motion-sensor lighting, a district cooling system for AC to reduce carbon emissions, and a commitment to minimizing plastic packaging. The hotel is a single-use plastic-free hotel, operates its own water bottling factory, and has eliminated 250,000 plastic water bottles. Other practices include 100% LED lighting, public area waterless urinals, motion detector water flow for sinks, and prioritizing local suppliers. It also holds IHG Green Engage Level 4 certification.
