About this Venue
The Costa Rica Convention Center (CRCC) is a state-of-the-art, environmentally responsible architectural work inspired by Costa Rican biodiversity, culture, and authenticity. Inaugurated on April 5, 2018, it encompasses over 15,000 square meters of innovation and sustainability. Designed to host national and international conferences, conventions, exhibitions, and social and corporate events, the CRCC aims to provide unique experiences in a modern and versatile space, positioning Costa Rica as a leading destination for events in the region. Sustainability
The Costa Rica Convention Center is a pioneer in sustainability, with a bioclimatic architectural design that maximizes natural lighting, utilizes reflective roofs, walls, and sun shields to mitigate solar heating, and employs high-tech air conditioning with energy-saving systems. It reuses rainwater for air conditioning and irrigation, processes water in its own treatment plant (400 cubic meters/day capacity), and uses LED lighting systems. The center offers electric vehicle charging stations and practices social responsibility by donating unconsumed food to local organizations. It has achieved LEED Gold and EDGE certifications, and is part of the National Plan for Healthy and Sustainable Gastronomy. The center also offers 'Carbon Clear Events By Heroica' methodology to neutralize carbon emissions.

The Costa Rica Convention Center is a national project developed by the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT) with a US$35 million investment. It aims to stimulate meeting tourism, diversify tourist offerings, and generate economic growth for the country. The center reinforces Costa Rica's destination by competing in the meeting niche and allows multiple events to be held simultaneously while meeting global standards. It is expected to generate significant revenue and stimulate the local economy directly and indirectly.
