Sustainability

The Brighton Centre is committed to being a sustainable venue, aiming to improve its environmental impact and reduce its carbon footprint. Initiatives include a 'Zero to Landfill' waste policy, LED lighting throughout the venue, water-saving systems in toilets, and purchasing energy from 100% renewable sources. They also use modern technology to reduce gas usage for hot water and heating, provide water fountains for refillable bottles, and use carpet floor tiles for easier replacement. The venue encourages clients to use local suppliers and their contracted caterers, Seasoned, offer vegan and local options, avoid plastic straws and single-use plastic bottles, use wooden/palm leaf/cardboard food containers, have 'meat-free Mondays' and no beef on menus, recycle cooking oil and food waste, and hold a Bronze Food for Life certification. They also partner with Life Water UK to fund water wells in developing countries and donate excess produce to local homeless charities.
