Sustainability
The Anaheim Marriott is committed to eco-friendly sustainability practices, focusing on reducing its footprint by implementing conservation initiatives. This includes the installation of a commercial solar panel system on three portions of the hotel roof, which fuels nearly one-third of the property's 1,030 guest rooms with renewable energy. The executive chef and team incorporate sustainable seafood, organic poultry and eggs, grass-fed beef, and locally sourced produce into menus, maintaining an on-site herb and vegetable garden for farm-to-table meals. Efforts also include minimizing food waste through efficient preparation and donating excess food to charitable organizations. The hotel participates in comprehensive recycling efforts for plastic, cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, refrigerants, metals, paints, and electronics. Guest room recycling and electric car charging are also available. In April 2024, Anaheim Marriott partnered with Newlight Technologies to use foodware made with AirCarbon, a biomaterial made from greenhouse gas.
