About this congress
The World Engineers Convention (WEC) is a major international engineering event organized by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). The 8th edition of the WEC was initially awarded to Montréal, Canada, to be held from October 4 to 10, 2027, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. It was expected to attract thousands of delegates from around the world to discuss topics of interest for both the local and global engineering community, generating significant economic, social, and cultural benefits. However, in late 2025, the WFEO General Assembly decided to host the World Engineers Convention 2027 in Dubai, UAE, instead.
