About this congress
From 26–30 August 2026, scholars from around the world will come together in Leipzig, Germany, to explore the past, present, and future of history. The conference marks the CISH 100th Anniversary. With more than 700 speakers, 64 panels, and 10 special events, the programme offers an extraordinary breadth of perspectives on where the historical sciences have been — and where they are headed. The Conference is to serve as a platform for historians to reflect on the evolution of historiography over the past century, while looking ahead to future challenges.
