Luanda, Angola's capital, is strategically positioning itself as an emerging MICE destination in Africa, bolstered by significant infrastructure investments. The city features the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport, which commenced full international operations in October 2025 and is designed to handle up to 15 million passengers annually. While existing facilities like the Talatona Convention Centre and various hotel-based meeting spaces are available, a new international convention center with an amphitheater for 3,000 attendees is under construction, slated for completion by late 2026. Luanda offers a blend of colonial charm and modern ambition, with key attractions including the scenic Marginal waterfront, the historic Fortress of São Miguel, and the unique Iron Palace.
