The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa is a pioneer in urban beekeeping since 2010, maintaining several bee colonies on its rooftop to pollinate the city and produce honey-based products for the hotel. It also features a rooftop herb garden. The hotel's original artesian well, located 720 feet deep beneath the Ship Tavern floor, still provides water to every faucet in the hotel.
