MGM Grand Detroit's 'Extreme Green Team' is committed to environmental conservation, recognized with a '4 Key' rating from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, and certified as a Green Lodging Michigan Leader. Initiatives include an on-site butcher shop to reduce trucking and waste, extensive recycling (including 3,148,000 pounds of material in 2019), and the use of china, glassware, and reusable linens for events.
