Sustainability

Hofburg Vienna operates under a 'Green Policy' focused on 'Avoid, realise – and only then provide sustainable disposal.' Key initiatives include using 95% natural light, 100% green power, LED lighting, water-saving measures, and green IT. For climate protection, it benefits from the building's natural climate controls, promotes public transport, uses individually controlled HVAC, and prefers catering partners with organic, seasonal, and local products. Recycling efforts involve waste separation, biodegradable materials, and multi-use tableware. The venue also advises clients on environmentally-friendly events and supports Green Meeting certification. Monument protection is also highlighted as a form of sustainability.
