HOFBURG Vienna is an international congress and event center located in the heart of Vienna, Austria. Housed within the historic Hofburg Palace, a former imperial residence dating back to the 13th century, it offers a unique blend of imperial ambiance and state-of-the-art technology. HOFBURG Vienna is committed to sustainability through its 'Green Policy' focusing on 'Avoid. Recycle. Dispose of as last resort.' Key measures include using 100% green power, 95% natural light in event spaces, power-efficient LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, and 'green IT' practices (power-saving PCs, energy-efficient servers). The venue benefits from natural climate controls due to its historic structure and promotes public transportation to reduce CO2 emissions. It also encourages catering partners to use organic, seasonal, local products and reusable tableware, and operates a waste separation program. The Hofburg team actively assists event organizers in obtaining Green Meeting certification.
