About this Venue
The Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center is a next-generation convention and exhibition complex in Zhejiang, strategically situated within the Nanyang Street block of the Hangzhou Airport Economic Demonstration Zone. It is nestled in the hinterland of the Qiantang River Delta and the Hangzhou Bay Bridgehead Fortress, just 3 kilometers northwest of Hangzhou International Airport. The center is a key project under Zhejiang Province's “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand” initiative and a major development for Hangzhou, aiming to become a world-class socialist modern international metropolis. Designed with inspiration from Hangzhou's iconic folding fans and silk, the venue harmonizes with the natural landscape, integrating a green corridor and extending the city's central axis. It is a comprehensive hub encompassing the entire exhibition economy value chain, integrating exhibitions, conferences, hotels, commerce, and offices. The project prioritized eco-friendliness and human-centric design, employing noise reduction and air purification methods, above-ground steel structures, and photovoltaic roofing for solar power.

Sustainability
The project prioritized eco-friendliness and human-centric design, employing noise reduction and air purification methods within the venues. It uses above-ground steel structures and photovoltaic roofing for solar power, making it the first pavilion in China to have attained WELL certification for its green building model. The photovoltaic roof covers an area of around 8,000 square meters, utilizing Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) glass, and is expected to generate over 700,000 kW of electricity annually. The center adheres to the latest green building evaluation standards, focusing on safety, durability, health, comfort, resource conservation, and livability.
