Fairmont Pacific Rim is dedicated to minimizing its environmental footprint, having eliminated all non-essential single-use plastics from guestrooms, dining outlets, spa, and public spaces, verified by GreenStep Solutions Inc. Initiatives include replacing plastic key cards with FSC-certified cherry wood, swapping plastic amenity bottles for large refillable versions, and using reusable glass water bottles. Dining outlets prioritize sustainably-sourced fish, use fiber-based take-away containers, and implement a near zero-waste philosophy for cocktails. The hotel also offers electric bikes and EV charging stations, and has adopted the Orbisk Food Waste System.
