About this Venue
ExCeL London is an international exhibition and convention centre located in the Custom House area of Newham, East London, situated on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock. Opened in November 2000, it is one of Europe's largest and most successful venues, hosting approximately 400 events annually and welcoming around four million visitors from across the globe. The venue offers 100,000m² of flexible event space, including London's International Convention Centre (ICC London ExCeL), which features the UK's largest auditorium and banqueting hall. ExCeL London is committed to sustainability, being certified carbon neutral to the PAS 2060 standard and operating with a zero-waste-to-landfill policy and 100% renewable electricity. It is well-connected by public transport, including the Elizabeth Line and DLR, and is a short distance from London City Airport.

Sustainability
ExCeL London is certified carbon neutral (PAS 2060 status, achieved in 2022) and is the first UK venue to achieve this international recognition. They procure 100% renewable electricity and have maintained a zero-waste-to-landfill policy for over 10 years, earning the 'Triple Crown of Sustainability'. ExCeL has signed the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, committing to a 50% emissions reduction by 2030 and net zero by 2050. Their comprehensive Sustainability Strategy, published in October 2023, is anchored in five key pillars: Sustainable Venue & Events, People Culture & Safety, Community & Platform for Change, Clients Partners & Supply Chain, and Governance & Ethics. Initiatives include an air freight ban on fruit and vegetables from outside the UK, sourcing all red meat from the UK, a target for removing all single-use plastics, and using a carbon labelling tool (Foodsteps) for menus. They also operate one of the UK's largest wormeries to convert food waste into compost.
