About this Venue
The African Union Conference Centre (AUCC) is one of Africa's most technologically advanced conference centers, located within the African Union's headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It comprises a conference center, office complex, and state-of-the-art facilities, serving as the venue for biannual AU summits and other African and international events throughout the year. It was inaugurated in 2012 and was mainly funded by the Chinese government. The complex is designed to be environmentally-friendly, utilizing passive cooling for climate control.

Subvention & Funding Support
The African Union Conference Center and Office Complex (AUCC) was constructed as a complete gift from the People's Republic of China, costing approximately US$200 million. The Ethiopian government provided 130,000 square meters of land free of lease for its construction and exempted imported construction materials from tax.
