About this Venue
Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center (AKKC) is one of Scandinavia's largest and most flexible congress and culture centers, hosting over half a million guests annually for concerts, theater performances, fairs, exhibitions, meetings, and conferences. It is centrally located in Aalborg, Denmark, with a view of Kildeparken, and is known for its modern facilities and commitment to sustainability. AKKC is Denmark's first and only event venue certified according to the international ISO 20121 standard for sustainable events, and also holds DNV GL's Sustainable Development Goals Certification and the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for meetings and conferences. The venue offers a wide selection of light and airy meeting rooms, two large halls (Aalborghallen and Europahallen), and direct access to Hotel Scandic Aalborg City.

Sustainability
AKKC is Denmark's first and only event venue certified according to the international ISO 20121 standard for sustainable events, and also holds DNV GL's Sustainable Development Goals Certification and the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for meetings and conferences. Their sustainability efforts include minimizing food waste, garbage sorting and recycling, reducing water, heat, and electricity consumption, and using wind turbine power. They aim to replace all lighting with LED by 2025 and achieve a 70% waste recycling rate by 2025. AKKC also focuses on social responsibility, employee well-being, and actively works with UN Sustainable Development Goals (3, 7, 12, 13, 17). They host annual conferences like NET ZERO Pathways and Work Life to share knowledge on sustainable initiatives.
