About this congress
The International Labour Conference (ILC) is the supreme deliberative and decision-making body of the International Labour Organization (ILO). It sets international labour standards and the broad policies of the ILO, meeting annually in Geneva. Often called an 'international parliament of labour', the Conference is a forum for discussion of key social and labour questions, makes decisions about the ILO's general policy, work programme, and budget, and elects the Governing Body. It brings together tripartite delegations from the Organization's 187 Member States, comprising government, employer, and worker representatives, along with observers from other international actors.
