About this congress
The 23rd World Congress of Soil Science (WCSS2026) is a premier global event for scientific and technological professionals in soil science and related disciplines worldwide to engage in academic exchange. Held every four years and sponsored by the International Union of Soil Sciences, the 23rd WCSS will be held in Nanjing, China, under the theme “Soil and the Shared Future for Humanity”. It aims to foster international collaboration, share cutting-edge research, and address environmental challenges related to soil sustainability, food security, and climate change. The Congress will feature a diverse program including plenary sessions, parallel sessions, poster exhibitions, a young researcher forum, and a soil judging contest. It is expected to attract diverse participants, including research scientists, soil practitioners, industry representatives, policymakers, regulators, academic societies, students, and anyone with an interest in the sustainable management of soils globally.
